Superintendent's Message
Welcome to the Hamilton Community Schools web site.
We hope you will find the information contained in our website to be helpful and informative.
The Hamilton Community School Corporation encompasses an outstanding elementary school (grades K-6) as well as an outstanding Junior/Senior High School (grades 7-12.) Hamilton offers the look and feel of a private school with our low student-teacher ratios, competitive sports teams and other extra-curricular programs.
Hamilton students compete at the highest levels academically. For the second year in a row, we are recognized as the top-ranked school in both Steuben and Dekalb counties based on the 2010 and 2011 ISTEP+ scores. Our 2011 English Academic team ranked number one in the state for Class 4. Additionally, our State Academic Super Bowl teams consistently rank at or near the top of the pack as, once again, our six combined Academic Bowl teams are ranked in the State' s Top 10 list for their cumulative scores this season.
Hamilton has a rich tradition of both academic and extra-curricular excellence, yet we are continually looking for ways to improve and expand opportunities for students. This year we began a one-to-one technology initiative that provided each elementary student access to an iPad II and each 6th-12th grade student a personal tablet computer. Our entire staff is involved in training on Best Practices that will engage students in active learning centered on our technology resources.
We would like to welcome you to be a part of a school system that takes pride in its ISTEP+ scores, athletic endeavors, academic success, and small class sizes. We have a talented and dedicated staff that works to ensure each student reaches his or her potential.

Have a great year!

Hamilton News
The FOOT group is sponsoring a Pop Tab Project to benefit Ronald McDonald House in Brittaney Ewing’s honor. Last year we exceeded our goal and collected enough tabs to provide housing for 10 nights for Brittaney's grandmother. We plan to start soon and exceed our goals! Help us out and start saving pop tabs!
