Candidate must be people oriented, multi-tasker, understand secretarial duties, and is highly organized. Candidate must be able to work in a timely manner to meet deadlines while keeping schedules for teachers, principal, and events. Applicant should be detail oriented. This same secretary must greet all visitors with a smile and positive attitude, answer phone calls, direct phone calls, and have excellent communication skills. 

Job Requirements:

Must have 2 years’ administrative experience

School background preferred but not required

Proficient in computer use, printer use, and fax machine use

Basic understanding of record keeping/filing

Must be able to work under pressure

Job Description:

Maintain all record keeping for students and staff

Provide clerical, financial, and administrative support to the principal

Maintain student and staff confidentiality in all circumstances

Track attendance and absences; use reporting software and generate reports

Perform data entry

Perform general office duties such as answering telephones, filing, mail, and developing spreadsheets

Strong communication skills

Ability to work with minimal direct supervision

Provide services for teachers, administrators like typing, proofreading, editing, and processing daily mail

Compose and process data for correspondences and newsletters

Maintain office files as well as assist with state report data collection and/or submission

Work as part of a team

Work with frequent interruptions
