Hamilton Schools announces new winter/spring hours for Community Library Hours. January 11 - May 18, 2024, the library will be open Thursdays from 6-8 PM (except Mar. 28). The library will also open the third Saturday of each month from 9 am-Noon (Jan 20, Feb 17, Mar 16, Apr 20 and May 18). The last day for open library will be Saturday, May 18.
Reminder that students return to school this coming Tuesday, January 9. BASE Camp resumes on Tuesday as well. Thank you!

We are currently looking to fill our Full-Time Library Facilitator Position. Hours are Monday-Friday (7:45am-3:15pm) and follows the Hamilton Community School Calendar 🗓️ Benefits offered, 180 work days throughout the year. Salary is $23,000.
Duties and Responsibilities for PreK-12th:
• Develops a welcoming climate in the library
• Monitors student bebavior in the library - developing positive relationships with students and staff.
• Encourages reading
• Maintains library software program
• Catalogs and processes new materials
• Prepares books and non-print materials for shelves
• Assists students with finding materials independently or in groups
• Maintains management and circulation of media materials
• Helps staff and students locate and check out materials
• Checks in and shelves materials
• Prepares overdue notices
• Works with inventory for withdrawal and reassignment purposes
• Prepares instructional materials, exhibits, and bulletin boards/display areas, as needed
• Promotes a positive relationship with students, staff, and the community
• Conducts story time, book talks, and library lessons with classes
• Repairs books as needed

Hamilton Family - Hamilton Community Schools Veteran's Day program is tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. The public is welcome. There will be a breakfast at 8:30 for any veteran. We hope to see you there, as we celebrate the great men and women of our nation!
HCS will implement single sign-on for student PowerSchool accounts during Fall Break. This change will use a student's Google login to access PowerSchool, reducing the need to remember a separate password for PowerSchool. The student/parent PowerSchool portal will be unavailable starting today through the end of Fall Break. Notification will be sent when access is available. Thank You
This is a friendly reminder to please send a snack to school with your child each day. All classrooms have a working snack period. We are finding that many students are not bringing a snack, consistently, which is becoming a challenge for our elementary office to fund. For those of you that signed up for Club B the new start date will be Thursday, September 21 from 3:15-4pm. Pick up will be at door 3 in the cafeteria.
Grandparents/Special Persons Day is this Friday, September 8 at Hamilton Elementary. Please park and enter at door 4, 6 or 8.
-AM PreK through 2nd grade is from 10-10:45am.
-PM PreK and 3rd-5th grade is from 1:45-2:30pm.
Upon entry, help yourself to refreshments and donuts outside of the Elementary office. Please stop by our photo booth with your child that is available outside of the office! See below for the location of your child(ren):
-AM & PM PreK students will be at the pavilion on the upper playground (Parking for PreK only is available at the upper lot next to the softball diamond)
-4th grade will be at the courtyard (enter at door 8 for direct access)
-The remainder of the classes will be held in their classroom
